Three things:

Motivating Latins for the Nations
The bible tells us to take the Gospel into all the nooks and crannies of the Earth. Marcos has been blessed with a  bit of a national prominence, and he travels throughout Mexico, speaking at youth and mission conferences, challenging Latins for the nations. God’s Spirit is moving throughout Latin America, prompting people for missions.
The Porvenir church also hosts a November mission conference and brings in people from near and far, and many have grasped an understanding of God’s heart for the lost, and some have responded by packing their suitcase.

The Porvenir Church
 Jesus proclaimed that He was building a church and the gates of Hell would try—and fail—to knock her down. A second aspect of Olive Tree is the local church. Marcos the wonderful group of folks who are the Iglesia Cristiana de Porvenir. It is an alive church, where God is worshipped with fresh and vigorous delight, and where the message of God’s heartthrob for the nations is consistently brought forth.

The bible tells us that if we give a glass of water to someone in need, we will not lose our reward. One part of Marcos and Veronica’s ministry these past many years (they moved into Porvenir in 1981!) has been to receive children into their home. They have a family of 13 kids, three of those are biological, and 10 were just loved in to the fold! Many of those 13 are up and out of the home now, serving the Lord in different corners of the globe.
   

Based on the Word  of God we affirm:

  • The divine inspiration and inerrancy of the Word of God, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and doctrine.
  • The existence of only one God, infinite, eternal, and almighty.  In the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • The universality of sin and guilt of all mankind.
  • Salvation is the free gift of God provided solely by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His vicarious death, and being born anew by the Holy Spirit.
  • The bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His Lordship over the Church, the world, and every human activity.
  • The certainty of the Lord Jesus’ second coming in His glorified body.
  • The resurrection of the body, life everlasting for the redeemed, and eternal damnation for the unsaved.
  • The existence of the devil, Satan, currently enemy of God and accuser of the brethren, whose end is to be cast into the lake of fire.
  • The Church is the body and bride of Christ, dedicated to the worship and service of God with the practice of good works and the evidence of love to one another.
  • Christ’s commission to every believer to carry the Gospel of salvation unto the ends of the earth.
